A person should be lived what he feels comfortable in and what people just say actually are their perception and the way they consider the things around your personalities. I also had the same dog but unfortunately, I forget to bring him from the picnic place we were on. Actually, My friend is one of the best web developer in Pakistan who had invited all of their friends to spend time with him. We enjoyed a lot there but I forgot to bring my dog back with me.
